In the last decade, due to growing hyper-specialization, an increased number of
organizations came to realize that they needed to keep better track of their
contracts. Many organizations encountered the impact of third parties on their
business performance and continuity. The sum of all contracts forms the
landscape of the entire business ecosystem, which was emphasized by the
COVID-19 pandemic and the Ukraine crisis. Organizations are now looking into
ways to rapidly shift. From purely implementing CLM-software for regulatory
compliance and faster authoring, authorization, negotiation, and signoff cycle
times organizations are shifting to a more proactive contract lifecycle
management approach with the inclusion of professional contract management.
CLM is moving from a sec sales/procurement perspective focusing on revenue, margin
and profit to an objective and value-driven perspective.
